This Privacy Policy of TeQatlas provides our privacy policy regarding the nature, purpose, use, and sharing of Personal Data or other information collected from the users of the websites at https://teqatlas.com and/or https://app.teqatlas.com (the “Platform“) and any associated applications, other websites or Personal Data (together with the Platform, the “Services​​” or the “Platform”). This Privacy Policy also includes the Cookie Policy. This Privacy Policy applies to all of your interactions with us via the Platform, and your interactions with us in connection therewith.

We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. Please read this carefully as this Privacy Policy is legally binding when you use the Platform. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it.


Changes to this Agreement

We reserve the exclusive right to make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time, in our sole discretion. Your continued access to and use of the Platform constitutes your agreement to be bound by specific terms of this Privacy Policy posted at such time. You acknowledge and agree that you accept this Privacy Policy (and any amendments hereto) each time you access the Platform in any manner. Therefore, we encourage you to review this Privacy Policy regularly as you shall be bound by it.

If, within thirty (30) days of us posting changes or amendments to this Privacy Policy, you decide that you do not agree to the updated terms of the Privacy Policy, you may provide us with written notice of your withdrawal from this Privacy Policy to the email address at support@teqatlas.com. Upon providing us with the written notice of the withdrawal of your acceptance to this Privacy Policy, you shall no longer be authorized to access or use the Platform, and you must immediately cease in doing so.


We may collect information about you, if you are:

  • User of TeQatlas and the Platform, through queries answered personally by our team over email, phone or any other medium and any other service features, integrations, tools and resources, allied or additional services including all data contained therein.
  • Founder, board member, investors or a key person associated with a company/organization or have a meaningful involvement in the startup ecosystem. In this case your publicly available business information, that we obtained through third-party services, may be with us, including your name, your email, your designation and which company you work for etc.

Data We Collect

Personal Data is information relating to an individual, which can be used either alone or with other sources of information to identify that individual. Personal Data does not include information where the identity of the individual or the specific detail of the information has been removed and is therefore anonymous.
The nature of the information that we collect will depend on the services we provide and our relationship with you. We categorize Personal Data we process as follows (non-exhaustive examples):

  • Identification data. Full name.
  • Contact data. Personal address, telephone number, email address.
  • Electronic Monitoring data. To the extent permitted by law, we may record and monitor your electronic communications with us via e-mail or other communications.
  • Financial data. Bank account number, credit card number, other bank information. Data about the financial status of the User, stages of investment cycle.
  • Marketing and Communications data. Marketing and communication preferences; tracking data relating to whether you have read marketing communications from us.

When Do We Collect Data

We collect Personal Data in the following cases:

  • when you provide it to us during any interaction with the Platform;
  • when you expressly provide the information to us during uploading it to the Platform and your account;
  • from public sources where you have manifestly chosen to make your Personal Data public, including via public profiles on social media;

Who Do We Share Your Data With

In order to provide high-quality services, TeQatlas hires people, enters into agreements with private entrepreneurs and partners, also cooperates with other services providers, companies and organizations. For these reasons, some of your Personal Data can be passed on to the persons mentioned above.

TeQatlas has contractors in other countries. Your Personal Data may be available to our contractors and partners in the jurisdictions outside the European Union. You may be sure that the transfer of your data to the recipients in other countries is secured and compliant with the applicable data protection laws.

Specifically, we may share your information with these third parties in the following limited circumstances:

  • Payment providers that we use to process your payment information. These include Stripe.
  • Provider of the Chat Services, namely Intercom
  • Analytics and search engine providers that we use to assist us in the improvement and optimization of the Services. These providers are based in the United States and in Europe. These include Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Hotjar, Intercom.
  • Marketing Tools providers that help us to enable our marketing. These include [please, add if any].
  • Server owners, from whom we rent the servers, where the Personal Data and Your Content is being stored. This Server owner is Amazon Cloud, situated in Europe (Ireland).
  • Email Newsletter service providers, which facilitate our marketing communications with you, namely UniSender.
  • To comply with legal requests: on occasion, we may be required to liaise with various regulators and law enforcement agencies in a number of different countries, whether as a result of law, a court order, or another legal process. Although we dispute requests wherever suitable, in some cases we may have to share your information with the regulators or law enforcement agencies. Where we consider it appropriate, and provided we are not prohibited from doing so by law or court order, we will attempt to notify you of these legal demands; and
  • Aggregated information with third parties: we may aggregate your information with the information of other users, creating a dataset of information about the usage of our Website, registrations and other general, grouped information about our users on the basis of our legitimate interest to understand the usage and demand for our services. Although this dataset is aggregated and anonymized, meaning it cannot identify you as an individual, it provides a valuable insight into the use of our Website and we may therefore share it with select third parties. These parties may include providers of plugins or similar technologies to help measure traffic, other providers to allow them to better stock products, and our investors.

Transfers of Your Data

In all cases when we transfer your Personal Data to other persons, we are confident that your Personal Data is protected and used only for the purposes specified in this Privacy Policy. We achieve such safety by using only certified services and products, signing agreements on protection of Personal Data with contractors and partners, as well as taking technical measures to ensure the data is protected when stored and used, and also while being processed and transferred.

To provide our Services, in accordance with the purposes set out above, we may transfer and store the Personal Data that we collect from you to a destination outside of the European Economic Area (“EEA”), mostly to one of our partners or to one of the third parties with which we work with.

Data Security

We take information security very seriously. We work hard to protect the Personal Information you provide us from loss, misuse, or unauthorized access. We use a range of physical, electronic and managerial measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk of Personal Data processing.

  • education and training of relevant staff to ensure they are aware of our privacy obligations when processing Personal Data as well as training around social engineering, phishing, spear phishing, and password risks;
  • the ability to ensure the ongoing confidentiality, integrity, availability and resilience of processing systems and services;

  • security incident reporting and management.

The security of data transmitted over the internet (including by e-mail) cannot be guaranteed and carries the risk of access and interception. You should not send us any Personal Data by open/unsecure channels over the internet.

Please note that no electronic transmission, storage, or processing of Personal Information can be entirely secure. We cannot guarantee that the security measures we have in place to safeguard Personal Information will never be defeated or fail, or that those measures will always be sufficient or effective. Therefore, although we are committed to protecting your privacy, we do not promise, and you should not expect that your data and/or information will always remain private or secure.

How Long Will the Data be Processed and Stored

TeQatlas stores Personal Data during the period of the Services provision under the Terms of Use, and for 24 months upon the end of our cooperation (“Retention Period”). In any case, your Personal Data will be stored by TeQatlas no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the Personal Data is processed.

You may access, delete and modify Your Content at any time, the TeQatlas does not store any back-ups of Your Content you have voluntarily deleted. However, when you access the data on the Service (e.g. a publication, comment or attachments to a publication or comment), a copy of that data is copied to that user’s local computer (called “caching”). Caching is used to improve the speed of the Service when you repeatedly access graphics or data during a session. Once pages and/or data have been cached on your local computer that data is beyond the control of TeQatlas and may be accessible to anyone with access to your computer. You assume all risk and liability associated with any data cached to your computer. We strongly recommend that you empty your web browser cache when you log out of a Platform session to ensure that any cached files from your session are deleted from your computer.

TeQatlas also stores the Personal Data of subjects who agreed to the subscription to our newsletters. The data is stored until a subscriber asks to be unsubscribed in the respective email form.

After the expiration of retention period, TeQatlas shall terminate the processing of your Personal Data or pseudonymize such data, unless stated otherwise under applicable laws.


TeQatlas distributes newsletters to its subscribers. As a rule, people just need to provide us with an email address for such subscription. If you are our current or potential client subscribed to the newsletters, we may have the following Personal Data: name, surname, email address, company, title, and a phone number in the newsletters database. TeQatlas provides those subscribed with the possibility to opt-out.

However, you cannot opt-out from the emails that are essential for your activity at the Platform and are sent to you directly by TeQatlas, not for marketing, but for communication purposes. These may include communications regarding issues with your account, other important information.

Use of Cookies and Similar Technologies

As mentioned above, the Platform is using cookies. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the Platform. Cookies are typically stored on your computer’s hard drive. Information collected from cookies is used by us to evaluate the effectiveness of our Platform and analyze trends. The information collected from cookies allows us to determine such things as which parts of the Platform are most visited and difficulties our visitors may experience in accessing the Platform. With this knowledge, we can improve the quality of your experience on the Platform by recognizing and delivering more of the most desired features and information, as well as by resolving access difficulties.

We use third party service providers, to assist us in better understanding the use of our Platform. Our service providers will place cookies on the hard drive of your computer (or use similar technologies) and will receive information that we select that will educate us on such things as how visitors navigate around our Platform.
This information is aggregated to provide statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns, and does not personally identify individuals (however, see below information on Ethereum wallet addresses). This information may also include: (a) Computer or mobile device information; (b) Site usage information, such as: page views, Account changes, button clicks, input form changes (without the values being tracked), errors.

Our service providers analyze this information and provide us with aggregate reports. You have the right to request TeQatlas an access to your Personal Data and to know the source of these Personal Data. You also have the right to transmit those data to another controller, if the processing is based on your consent or on contract and the processing is carried out by automated means.
Right to request a rectification of your Personal Data
You have the right to request rectification of inaccurate Personal Data or request that incomplete data be completed.
Right to request an erasure of Personal Data
You have the right to request TeQatlas an erasure of your Personal Data if its processing is no longer needed in relation to the purposes for which they were collected, and also if there are no legitimate grounds for the processing.
Right to restrict the processing of your Personal Data
You have the right to request a restriction of processing of your Personal Data if you dispute the accuracy of your data, or TeQatlas no longer needs these data for processing purposes and if you are against the processing of the data.
Right to withdraw your consent
You have the right to withdraw your consent for the collection and processing of your Personal Data at any time by contacting us. After your request, we will process such request in a timely manner and we will no longer process your Personal Data unless stated otherwise under applicable laws.
Right to object to the processing of your Personal Data
You have the right to object to processing of your Personal Data on the basis of legitimate interest or as part of a task in the public interest or for an official authority. However, in some specific cases, the public interest may prevail and TeQatlas may be allowed to continue using your Personal Data.
Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint directly with TeQatlas at info@teqatlas.com or with the competent data protection authority in the case you consider our processing of your Personal Data as non-compliant with the applicable data protection laws.

Time for Reply and Reaction

We will provide information about the actions taken on your request, within one month after receiving the request. This period may be extended by two further months if we consider it necessary, considering the complexity and number of the requests. TeQatlas will notify you about such renewal within one month of the receipt of the request together with the reasons for such delay.

Your rights under the Privacy Laws of California

If you are a resident of the State of California, you may have certain rights with respect to your data in accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Civil Code as amended by the CCPA.

Privacy of Children

Our Platform is not directed to collect any data from people under the age of 18. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to submit any data to our Platform. If you believe your child may have provided us with their data, you can contact us using the information in the Contact section of this Policy and we will delete the data from our Platform.

Do Not Track (DNT) Signals Disclosure

Some web browsers may transmit “do-not-track” (DNT) signals to the websites. We do not currently take action in response to those signals. If an industry standard on responding to such signals is established and accepted, we may reassess how to respond to those signals.

Breach Notifications

If any of your Personal Data is stolen, lost or illegally accessed – known as a Personal Data breach we would inform you as well as the respective data protection agencies as to such accidents without undue delay. We would also inform you directly if there are serious risks related to your Personal Data or privacy due to the Personal Data breach.
